The Rescue Responder's Workshop is largely based on the Italian Cave Rescue manual (free download). Some aspects are modified to better suit our environment and equipment and many of these changes are documented in the Responders Workshop Instructional Outline.

- Levente has offered to facilitate examinations for the Basic Radio License during the workshops. Interested participants will be responsible for self-study but can coordinate with Levente during the workshop to take a paper exam which he will invigilate and submit for you.

- Having your Basic Radio License enables you to cooperate with Ground SAR teams using licensed radio frequencies and repeater systems. It is also required for unsupervised operation of the cave radios which use an amatuer radio frequency of 137.4kHz.
